On the doorstep of the Mercantour National park, at an altitude of 1700 m, the Valberg resort is ideal for families. It is the third biggest ski resort in the Alpes Maritimes and the one which offers the most for children.

1h25 drive from Nice, it is an ideal station for tourists as well as local residents.

There is a traditional mountain lifestyle with mainly chalets, small residences of flats of a typical appearance and also small hotels.

The advantages for families :

• Valberg is the 1st resort in the South Alps to have obtained the Family Plus label.
• The resort is thus pleased to stand up to the chart's exigencies which consist of 6 points:

SKIING DOMAIN

90 Km of slopes:

• 52 slopes: 6 black slopes, 22 red slopes, 13 blue slopes and 11 green slopes.
• 22 mechanical lifts: 6 chair lifts, 16 ski lifts.

The resort is equipped with snow cannons (350 cannons).

SKIING COURSES - French skiing school

The French Skiing School is there to help beginners and to help you progress at your own rythm. Private lessons, group courses, snowboarding, seated ski, workshops, alpine skiing, snowblading, telemark, cross-country, snowshoes: everything is possible.

If you organize lessons in advance, it will be possible for you to be provided with monitors who speak English, Spanish or Italian (for private lessons only).

Lessons for children:

« Les P'tits Skieurs »

After enrolling at the French Skiing School: (Phone : 04.93.02.51.20).

Children are looked after from 10 am to 5pm with:

• Half days of skiing at the « Oursons » park (snow garden suitable for children between 3 and 9 years) supervised by ESF monitors.
• Children are transferred with an ESF shuttle bus, to the « P'tits Poucets » nursery for a meal inside (lunch is to be provided by the parents).
• Afternoon of fun and games supervised by professional childcare staff.

Piou-piou club

• For children from 3 to 5 years who have never skied (6 children per monitor)

“Nounours” club

• For children from 6 to 10 years, who have never skied (8 children per monitor)

Club Oursons

• For those who have already skied, « chasse-neige » notions, preparation for the “Ourson” test (10 children per monitor).

Group courses - ski

• For children as young as 3 years, with a minimum of 3 people.

Group courses - snowboard

• For children as young as 7, with a minimum of 3 people.

• For children as young as 3 years old.
