Présentation

PRESENTATION OF THE ASSOCIATION

Prune, an artist who specialises in portraits, founded this non-profit making organisation “Les Artistes de petit Montmartre”, in 2001. The workshop located behind the Saint Charles kindergarten and primary schools in Monaco, boasts 3 art rooms to delight Art and Craft lovers.

From 2003 to 2006, the workshops were open for adults only wishing to participate in lessons such as oil painting, water colours, acrylics, portraits, mosaics and decorative painting.

Following a great success, the association decided to open a workshop for children aged 3 to 16 years in 2006, every day, after school, and on Wednesday afternoons and all day on Saturdays.

Children are also welcome to come along during the school holidays to let their imagination run free during the workshops and they can even invite friends to celebrate their birthday here, in a creative and fun way.

This can also be a great family activity, where children and their parents may come along together for some creative fun and valuable, selective time together.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR CHILDREN

If your child loves drawing and art & craft in general, the association can help to encourage this passion even further by giving your child the advice necessary to become a real artist.

The artistic workshops are specially adapted for each age group, thus helping each child to develop his or her creativity.

Children may create their first paintings or potteries and have an out of school activity that they really enjoy.

What’s more, Prune, speaks French, English and Italian, and so it may also be the chance for your child to spend time with children of different nationalities and cultures.

ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN

Painting on Canvas workshops :
This is an artistic activity, for children of 3 years and above, to teach them how to look at the world that surrounds them and how to reproduce what they see in a painting. Acrylic and oil paints and pastels are used.

Mixed technique workshops :
This is an activity where paint is used to decorate various objects, including glass, materiel and wood.

Creative workshop: Model making:
Children can enjoy new sensations with their hands by working with clay to make objects such as a plate, a mug, a pot or a sculpture.

Inventive workshop : Pottery Painting:
Once their pottery fired, the children can discover varied decoration techniques. Their creations will then be fired again to reveal a finished master piece.

Souvenir workshop : 3D Hand
A hand print of your baby or child is the ideal object to help immortalise a precious moment. The artists will help to keep your child still for a few minutes whilst the work is being done.

Cuddly Toy workshop:
Children can create their own cuddly toy to love and cherish.

The classic workshop : Mosaics
Following the concept of the « Art therapy » program, children may learn concentration skills by handing various objects used to decorate objects in wood or unbreakable glass.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Artistic birthday parties – a fun and constructive birthday party idea.

Your child aged 3 to 12 years may invite up to 15 friends to create a master piece in a festive and fun environment!

“Les Artistes de petit Montmartre’s” team will take care of the organisation of the party and the activities: decoration, balloons, music…

All the parents have to do is to provide the cake, the sweets and the drinks…and if they want to, they may also stay and watch.
